Irides' Network Has the Capacity for Your Business

Any hosting environment is only as good as its network. At Irides, we have invested heavily in upgrading our core network infrastructure to provide a solid, stable service to our customers.

Our core network is powered by Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series switches engineered into fully redundant access, distribution and core layers. We have multiple, redundant internet links that provide 2 Gbps of connectivity supported by our private, dedicated fiber network. All our network equipment is monitored through SNMP alerting us to hardware problems as well as unusual or unexpected network activity.

Public internet access is mediated by multiple Cisco Intrusion Provention Systems (IPS) that provide real-time protection from low-level attacks and high-level denial of service attacks across our data center.

Individual servers are connected to a front-facing public network and a non-routable backnet. The backnet is used for Irides private access to the servers to allow administration and backups without affecting public network performance.
